What was the highlight of Suan Bua Hotel & Resort（苏安布阿酒店及度假村）
Pleasant
The room was clean, the bathroom was good, staff were pleasant and the breakfast was good.
The shower water was barely luke warm. They swopped my room but there little to no difference in the water temperature. They could also provide an ashtray for the room's balcony. The location is remote and it took me 2 hours and a ridiculous number of taxi cancellations to get a driver willing to do the trip. I eventually had to haggle with a Grab Taxi to take me at double the price initially quoted. I refused to make use of the hotel transfer at the ridiculous price of 800Bht.

The resort is set in beautiful gardens.
The resort is set in beautiful gardens. Food in the restaurant was very good. Bedroom was huge with windows on three sides.
The bedroom and the dining room were very cold. No Tea / Coffee in the room. We complained and were then given hot water and coffee. Manager was very helpful about this.

Sooooo relaxing!
This location is great if you just want to steal away. It was so calming and relaxing. Lots of places to go sit, places for kids to play. I didn't use it but a restaurant is on property. It is up in the mountains so it took about 20/30 minutes to get to Central Chiang Mai. There are a few coffee shops along the way and a global ATM at 7-11. Tuk tuk took me wherever I needed to go. She was very informative of places to go. Took me to a great massage place. Great restaurants are hidden but they are there. Room (junior suite) was nice quaint clean. Cleaning people came in daily because I forgot to put sign on door. My room was ready upon arrival. On third day, they sat out complimentary bowl of fruit and coffee/tea drinks. Bathroom was average. I was just glad to get streaming water and it didn't run out before I got out. Water does come out the bottom but they had a water mat available. Also, the tiling in bathroom needs updating in shower and along floor. It wasn't bad it just really needs rechaulking or replacement. Families seem to enjoy the pool. I didn't get in it. Great place for conferences. They have enough venues to place and separate adults and kids. Desk staff (throughout property) was amazing despite the language barrier. They worked hard to accommodate whatever the need. My tuk tuk was perfect match. And reception arranged it -- it was perfect and comfortable. I was really blessed by driver.
Massage spa advertises services they don't have. It was nice getting it done in my room but the area where located is beautiful and would of added to aura. Mosquitoes - bring your spray. Lots of water areas and they seemed to sneak in room somehow after 3rd night.

Bad value for the money
- The scenery was really pretty and the resort was peaceful. - The staff was pleasant. - Breakfast that we had the first day was great! Loved the fresh fruits, the sunny side up eggs with pancakes, the fresh milk, and the coffee.
- Location was not the greatest. The hotel was really far from everything, specially from the city center. Taking taxi was pretty costly. - The beds were not that comfortable. - Although the hotel advertised WiFi. The connection never worked properly. For my job it is absolutely crucial to have internet access. I had to use my cell phone’s hot spot to connect to the internet - Second night, which was also our last night of the stay the hotel had a power outage. It was really challenging to pack in the dark. We were not able to charge our phones and laptops. Almost missed the flight because phones died and alarms didn’t work.
